Attention Bright Brigade! Get ready to Paint the Streets!
We're headlining a Friday night show at one of our favorite Chicago venues on December 16, Schuba's Tavern, located at 3159 North Southport Ave. We are playing with our friends Color Radio, along with a yet-to-be-announced special guest!
Buy your tickets early, and not only will you get a plethora of free goodies including music and merch, but you'll automatically be entered to win two pairs of tickets to see one of our favorites, The Walkmen at The Metro on January 14th for its 10th Anniversary show - part of Tomorrow Never Knows 2012! Also, if you are one of the first 25 to buy advance tickets, you get a free limited-edition screen print of the gorgeous event flier! Huge thank you to those of you who made it out to the fantastic show a few weeks back at Goose Island in Wrigleyville! We played some old favorites, some covers, and dressed like mad scientists, black swans and rock stars way past their prime.
In case you haven't had a chance, our two new singles, recorded this past summer, are still available for free on our Bandcamp site. Head on over and download them - and please feel free to burn them to a cd, give them to your friends and play them during your holiday feasts - Thanksgiving dinner will be a lot more festive with these two singles cranking in the background!
If you frequent the nationally renowned music blog "The Deli," you may have seen a banner of us at the top of the homepage for the past couple of weeks, as we received a "band of the month" honor. We were also awarded some studio time, and we are leaning toward recording a new cover for your listening pleasure. We have a few ideas in mind, but would LOVE to hear from you guys. Shoot us a Facebook message and let us know what you think we should cover!
In addition to currently being featured as one of 20 featured bands on the worldwide internet music site Grooveshark, the new singles have been getting some great buzz. Check out some kind words from Earmilk.com, Dante's Prog Blog inferno and Movements and Nonsense.
Lastly, we are proud to announce our representation through Left Field Management, which also represents Chicago favorites Bailiff and the Kickback, among others. We are extremely excited for the enthusiasm and goals this organization has for us - which only means good things for you, our loyal and cherised soldier.
With plans to tour and release our debut longplayer, 2012 is shaping up to be something special - and we want you to be there with us every step of the way.
